Historically, Saswick House was a traditional working farm. As farming evolved many of the buildings became redundant and eventually a once busy farm ceased working.
Since then Saswick House has been much loved family home for many years. Having raised our family there we have had many a year to think on what we would like to do with the buildings and so the idea of a farm shop and tea rooms was born.
The unused pig coats have now become home to a traditional farm shop. This is an industry we are experienced in. We have always valued the importance of the journey our produce has taken and this is something that is core to our new venture. The emphasis is on locally sourced quality produce. We have secured local suppliers and we are very passionate about this element of the project.
The tea rooms are housed in the old stables where the work horses once lived.
With both the farm shop and the tea rooms the renovations are sympathetic to the original features and purposes, and create a cosy environment overlooking the gardens.
We are very excited about the new venture as the project unfolds.
